hmmm... highlights of the year?! (or at least the highlights that I remember)
- had my first "real" job -- "real" because I really didn't feel it was a real job (ay... ang labo). It was sort of man-I-need-money-because-my-allowance-is-on-a-forced-diet and a dude-I'm-so-bored-at-home-I-need-to-do-something-out-of-the-house kind of job. I resigned after 4 months.... which by the way I don't regret doing because I'm happy now (sort of... again not happy because no more incoming cash flow.
- my first paycheck -- which was encouraging at the beginning because it was sort of high for a part time-job... but that was the last one though... the checks that came after that was (more or less... actually less) than 2k.
- my first breakfast with my parents that I actually paid for -- this I'm very proud of. Two days after I got my first paycheck, I treated by parents at Max Brener for breakfast. Mae wasn't there because... I can't remember. Now, you may ask, "why breakfast and not lunch or dinner?" It's because it cheaper if you have breakfast there. Ahhh! Earning money makes you a cheap-o. Hehehe
- my first time at yoga -- Ok. I kinda conquered my fear for this one. I originally did not want to go alone for the first class but no one wanted to go with me... so I want ahead and did it. It is the best!! Unfortunately... it was also expensive so... until I get another job... i will do yoga again
- my first time using an SLR camera -- compliments of the company (I'm censoring the company's name...). I wish I had one.... I love that camera to death! Even though it was only the 20D... but still!! Canon 20D SLR! I used it for the I.D pictures, nonsense office photoshoots, events.... which bring me to the next highlight:
- starstruck: Christian Bautista -- Yes oh Yes! Finally got a picture with Christian Bautista during the Sanyo Seiki Steel Corporation Event at Edsa Shangri-la last September.
- starstruck no. 2: J-A-M Event -- Stars included... Joey G. from Side A... and some other semi-famous people.
- Binondo and estero food -- Binondo days for Sanyo Seiki photoshoot. I love it in Binondo. Love the food, the architecture... but I hate the dirtyness of it all. But somehow the dirtyness is what makes it unique... am I making sense?
- Divi-mall, tutuban mall and 168 -- with Abby and Justine. I have a post about this "highlight" :D We're doing this again...
- jeepney, tricycle, MRT/LRT -- yay!! I'm not so sheltered any more!!! I'm trying the bus next time
- driving alone -- yep! finally did it! I'm driving... and I have my own license. San Juan-to-Greenhills. San Juan-to-West Ave. MOA-to-Far-view(bundok ng Filinvest). Manila-to-Tagaytay. Makati. EDSA.... and Quezon City Circle (scream-fest). Next stop... BAGUIO!
No Resolutions for 2007 because I'm sure to break them in sooner or later.
My Mantra for 2007
SAVE.SACRIFICE.STUDY
- Save -- because I have no money
- Sacrifice -- because that is what saving is all about
- Study -- actually save, sacrifice... to study. I really want to study in Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts (Singapore) or Pratt (NYC) or School of Visual Arts (NYC) or Parsons (NYC). Singapore because I'm utterly (naks!) fascinated with Asian / Ancient art. NYC because it's NYC!!
Goodbye 2006... Hello Lechon Baboy!!
My next blog will be about Singapore... and how I really love it there. It's so artsy-fartsy. And ooohhh!!! One of the biggest highlights for 2007... Reverse Bungee Jumping!! I'm still waiting for the Visual Aids :D
